How do I use my SmushBox?

 

 

Here are a few easy steps that will start your SmushBox:

 

1. Order your SmushBox online through our website.
    

2. Choose what local area code you want for your particular SmushBox (i.e. 773 for "Chicago"). We will notify you with your new SMS# once your box is fully activated and ready to go.
    

3. Once delivered, plug the device into your local network (router) and power. Once you have plugged in power, the device will boot onto your local network. 
   
    

4. The smushbox will take several minutes to startup, and while it does so, you will see all the lights turn on. You will know it has finished starting up when the left most light turns on. The two lights next to it are your cellular signal strength. 
    

5. Open up a web browser and go to http://smushbox/. This should bring up a web page that   says "login". If the webpage does not come up, try going to the IP address of the SmushBox which you can find through your modem or router. 
    

6. Type "smushbox" for the username, and "smushbox" for the password. You should be       brought a page that says "Server Status", and displays some information about your           SmushBox. 
    

7. Click "Send Message" to send an SMS message from your smushbox, just follow the
   on-screen prompts. 
    

8. To update your smushbox to the latest software, click on the "Check for update" link. If a new update is available, the box will prompt you to upgrade.
